There is a facebook page on Facebook with well over 30,000 likes that the title in itself is a form of Hate Speach to those with disabilities – but then the page itself seems to call other’s unwise actions ‘retarded’. According to facebook’s support page on what they consider Hate Speech:
Content that attacks people based on their actual or perceived race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or disease is not allowed. We do, however, allow clear attempts at humor or satire that might otherwise be considered a possible threat or attack. This includes content that many people may find to be in bad taste (e.g. jokes, stand-up comedy, popular song lyrics, etc.).
Many of the posts on the Retards. Retards Everwhere facebook page are posted in the context of a joke however most with disabilities, and their care takers would clearly consider this a form of hate speech. I have went ahead and reported the facebook page as a form of Hate Speech and encourage others to do so as well.
