LaughFest in Grand Rapids, MI held a community conversation about how people with disabilities use humor to deal with the issues they have in life. The event also served as a way to share the disability experience with people who might not understand.
Events like these are a great way to positively share the experience of being disabled and address some of the negative ways that society address those with disabilities. It is important that we as society have these conversations so that everyone in society feels important, needed and welcome.
